John Everest, AAM ASE Certified Master Technician:
Owner John left Long Island in 1976 with a dream to "open his own
automotive service center in Colorado". He began by earning his
associate's degree at SCCC in Long Island, and then graduating
from Denver Automotive and Diesel College. He has worked as an
automotive technician since 1976 and opened Buchtel Motors in 1984.
John was on the Automotive Service Association's Board of Directors
for 10 years and was President of ASA for two years. He served on
the Legislative Committee and was instrumental in drafting and
passing The Automotive Repair Act which benefits consumers and
their dealings with Automotive Repair Shops.
Training & Certification
Bea Everest, Customer Service:
Bea was born and raised in rural Iowa. She spent much of her life
working in business, graduating from Buena Vista University,
Storm Lake, Iowa, with a B.A. in Business Management. Six years in
retail Management with JC Penney Co., Inc. taught her the basics of
customer service; skills she says translate into any business—even
automotive repair.
"Customers are looking for service and value in any business—these
are our standards here at Buchtel Motors." Bea has been married to
John Everest since 1987; they live Bailey where they raise horses,
cattle and have a menagerie of chickens, dogs and cats. Their
daughter, Mandi, attends CU, Boulder where she is studying Child Psychology.
